Blooming Boutique grows as Nashville’s gay florist

The Blooming Boutique has moved and doubled its space and offerings of flowers and gifts for Nashville’s GLBT community.

The shop has moved next door to its previous location and is at 4507 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, and is now offering more than 5,000 square feet of shopping space, including a new exclusive line of holiday decorations.

The phone number remains the same, 615-383-4310. A grand opening will be held in July.

Chris Nadeau and Jerry Gabbard have owned the Blooming Boutique since 2002, growing the business with a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. The newly remodeled and expanded store includes a year-round holiday display and unique home interior products.

Nadeau said the extra space has allowed the store to add a new line of Jim Marvin collections, making it the exclusive store in Nashville to carry the world famous designer’s line.

Marvin is the creator of thematic Christmas trends and is considered the leader in design and color directions for the last 30 years. He was invited to volunteer and design product for the White House during 1997-2004 Christmas seasons, and has designed floral decorations for state dinners, special parties and the Millennium celebrations. He was also invited back to the White House to work with decorations connected to the inaugural transition on January 20, 2001.

“The new store is much more modern and has a great contemporary feel,” Nadeau said. “The customers love the new space.”

The expanded gift line includes candles, bath and spa essentials, gift baskets, and home decorations.

“We back every gift, arrangement, and sale by a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee and guarantee our arrangements for seven days with no questions asked,” Nadeau said. “Due to this philosophy word of mouth has spread and is the best advertisement.”

“This means high style designs, guaranteed arrangements, and top notch customer service,” he said. “Consumers today want different and unique looks for their gifts. We will be expanding our business in the future to include more home interior products that will compliment our existing business to provide our customers with more unique items.”
