AIDS Walk set for Saturday, Oct. 4

Nashville’s annual AIDS Walk has been set for Sat, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, Nashville. 

The day's events include a pancake breakfast, stage entertainment, kids' and family activities, health & wellness Fair, and an easy two-mile walk that begins at noon.AIDS Walk proceeds benefit Nashville CARES, a charitable organization.  For more information visit www.nashvilleaidswalk.com

Join us from 5 to 9 p.m. for wine & cheese, receive 15% off your purchase, and the stores will contribute a portion of the night's sales to the AIDS Walk.  Three locations:

Sun, Aug 3 - "Gershwin in Blue," benefit performance by Shawn Knight - 7:30 p.m. at Nashville Children's Theatre, 25 Middleton St; donations for Nashville CARES will be taken at the door for this one-man show highlighting the work of George Gershwin.

Fri, Aug 8 - 92Q "Back to School" Bash at Hickory Hollow Mall - 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fri, Aug 8 - Nashville Sounds Baseball, Greer Stadium, 534 Chestnut St, Nashville - 5:30 p.m. concert & 7 p.m. game - Nashville CARES is the Purity "Charity of the Night" and music is by Jars of Clay, celebrity co-chairs of the 2004 AIDS Walk.  Tickets required: www.nashvillesounds.com (game is v. Sat, Aug 9 - Car Wash by Music City Car Club - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Castrillo's Pizza in Riverside Village, McGavock at Riverside in Inglewood; this new local car club will contribute a share of car wash proceeds to Nashville CARES.

Sat, Aug 9 - Open House & Showcase for Revival: Home Inspirations - 7 to 10 p.m. at 1311 7th Av N, Nashville; realtor Branan White is taking donations for the AIDS Walk during an open house for a residence recently listed for sale; event is also a showcase for his new home decor store, Revival: Home Inspirations 615-712-6149.
