Nashville CARES announces 2015 Dining Out for Life co-chairs

Dining Out For Life (Nashville) returning co-chair Shamille Wharton is excited to welcome Stacey Wilson and Bradford Hollingsworth as co-chairs. The three, in addition to honorary co-chairs Chris Chamberlain and Jay Matheney are happy to welcome new and returning restaurants to this year's Dining Out For Life Nashville event.

“Dining Out For Life is such a simple and fun way to support Nashville CARES," said Wharton. "Everyone loves going out to eat and enjoying good food with friends, why not do it for a great cause? We are grateful for the ongoing generosity of Nashville’s restaurant community, who open their doors and extend such gracious hospitality to Nashville CARES.”

More than 70 restaurants will participate this year, donating 30% - 100% of their sales for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner to Nashville CARES. All you have to do is gather your friends, family and coworkers and head to a local participating restaurant.

“Dining Out For Life is one of Nashville CARES’ most successful events because of the generosity of Nashville’s restaurants, and because it is so easy to participate. Just dine out at any of the participating restaurants around town and a portion of your check will be donated to Nashville CARES,” said Jay Matheney.

Nashville CARES holds the oldest Dining Out For Life event in Tennessee. For one day of the year, we encourage Nashville to Dine Out and Fight HIV/AIDS! All proceeds support the Nashville CARES mission to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Middle Tennessee. To find a participating restaurant, visit www.diningoutforlife.com/nashville.

“I am thrilled to be a part of such a community-wide event. This is the perfect opportunity to share Nashville CARES mission and to honor the important work they do in Middle Tennessee,” said Bradford Hollingsworth.

Embassy Dental and NPS Pharmacy are Co-Presenting sponsors of the event locally. 2015 marks Subaru’s ninth year as International Host of the annual eating extravaganza involving food, family, friends and fundraising. Nashville CARES is pleased to welcome Downtown Subaru as a local partner and sponsor for this year’s event once again.

Additional sponsors include: Gold Fork Partner-Bridgestone; Silver Spoon Partners-Bone McAllester Norton PLLC and Vanderbilt; Bronze Knife Partners-Salas Law, Kraft CPA’s, Dorothy Cate & Thomas Frist Foundation and Fridrich, Pinson & Rothberg Insurance Agency.

WhistlePig + Alfa Romeo F1

SHOREHAM, VT (September 13, 2023) — WhistlePig Whiskey, the leaders in independent craft whiskey, and Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake are waving the checkered flag on a legend-worthy release that’s taking whiskey to G-Force levels. The Limited Edition PiggyBack Legends Series: Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake Barrel is a high Rye Whiskey selected by the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake drivers, with barrels trialed in their wind tunnel to ensure a thrilling taste in every sip.

The third iteration in WhistlePig’s Single Barrel PiggyBack Legends Series, the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake Barrel is bottled at 96.77 proof, a nod to Valtteri Bottas’ racing number, 77, and the precision of racing. Inspired by Zhou Guanyu, the first Chinese F1 driver, this Rye Whiskey is finished with lychee and oolong tea. Herbal and floral notes of the oolong tea complement the herbaceous notes of WhistlePig’s signature PiggyBack 100% Rye, rounded out with a juicy tropical fruit finish and a touch of spice.

Nurse Practitioner Ari Kravitz

When I started medical transition at 20 years old, it was very difficult to get the care I needed for hormone replacement therapy because there are very few providers trained in starting hormones for trans people, even though it’s very similar to the hormones that we prescribe to women in menopause or cisgender men with low testosterone.

I hope more providers get trained in LGBTQ+ healthcare, so they can support patients along their individual gender journey, and provide the info needed to make informed decisions about their body. I’ve personally seen my trans patients find hope and experience a better quality of life through hormone replacement therapy.
