Boy George, Roy, Mikey, and Jon are coming to Nashville on July 26 to play at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and we have a pair of tickets to give away. One of the biggest bands of the 1980s, Culture Club ruled the radio and MTV with songs like "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me," "Karma Chameleon," and "I'll Tumble 4 Ya." Stop at the O&AN booth to enter for your chance to win these tickets.

For the first time ever, the RuPaul's Drag Race Battle of the Seasons tour is coming to Nashville, and this show is coming up fast!  Marathon Music Works, this Monday, June 27. Hosted by Michelle Visage, the show will include fan favorites Jinkx Monsoon, Katya, Sharon Needles, Violet Chachki, Ginger Minj, Bendelacreme, Ivy Winters, and Manila Luzon. When I started medical transition at 20 years old, it was very difficult to get the care I needed for hormone replacement therapy because there are very few providers trained in starting hormones for trans people, even though it’s very similar to the hormones that we prescribe to women in menopause or cisgender men with low testosterone.

I hope more providers get trained in LGBTQ+ healthcare, so they can support patients along their individual gender journey, and provide the info needed to make informed decisions about their body. I’ve personally seen my trans patients find hope and experience a better quality of life through hormone replacement therapy.
